A Yummy Way to Start the Day

We were so excited today because our Universal Yums box came in the mail! It's a subscription box that comes once a month. Each month it contains snacks/food/candy from a different country. This month it was Italy. They dove into so many delicious chocolates and interesting flavored chips and crackers.

As you can see, they were so excited to open everything that I couldn't get a non blurry picture ;-)

While they ate their goodies I pulled up a few videos of families travelling in Italy via You Tube. We learned some really cool things about Venice and Rome.

After that we took a break to have a dance party - always good after we've sat for some time. Then we sat down at the table to talk about Native Americans. Thanksgiving is just a few days away so we started some conversations about Indigenous people around the world. They decided to make diorama's of a Native American village. Their imaginations went wild - so great!

As they worked on their dioramas I read them this legend. It was a really good story. I just happened to find this book recently at the little library in our neighborhood. Time to head to the big library for more!
